Altar and Rosary Society

In the sixties a new Catholic parish was formed, our St. Joan of Arc, it was a dream come true.

Everyone was asking, “how can we help?” A small group of women gathered and made a plan to try to continually supply the needs of our Lord’s altar and sanctuary with hosts, wine, candles, and other necessary items. This began the Altar & Rosary Society. 

The Altar and Rosary Society has grown since then and some of the things we do include: The yearly crowning of Mary in May, we comfort and support grieving parish families after the death of a loved one by providing a funeral luncheon and host a valentine's day party at our local nursing home as well as wrap gifts at the annual Streetsboro Community Christmas.

Financial support for our mission of support for our community comes from our bake sales and our annual rummage sale as well as donations from the funeral lunches.
