An altar server is a minister who helps the priest at the presider’s chair and at the altar. This is a special way to have a closer and more integral part of the Mass.
Youth (fourth grade and older) and adults are eligible to serve at Mass. It is also a wonderful ministry for parents/guardians and children to do together.

As one of the first people that visitors interact with, the role of the Usher is an important one! They assist in welcoming the congregation, directing and seating them, helping those with disabilities, and arranging for the procession of the presentation of gifts. They are also responsible for keeping order and direction in the Church.
If you are interested in being an Usher at any of the Masses, please contact the office at 330-626-3424 or stjoansecretary@sbcglobal.net.
Our Adult Choir plays an integral part of our Mass. Singing in a church choir can help you deepen your faith and connect with others, while growing in your spirituality and fulfillment. The choir helps improve worship by leading congregational singing, which teaches hearts to praise God together, creating a powerful sense of community. You are invited to join us for a rehearsal. We are beginning to rehearse Christmas songs for the upcoming Advent Season! Our rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.
